In November, Rise proudly marched alongside Living Proud at the Perth Pride Event! Living Proud had been working with Pride WA to make the 2022 parade an all-access event, which we think is incredible!

Everyone who marched had an amazing time, and only had incredible things to say about the event.

“The Coventry pavilion pre-pride bingo was amazing to attend with engaging drag queens throughout the night keeping the atmosphere alive and fruity.

The pride walk was adventurous to attend, with a range of Rise employees and family out supporting #FullEqualityNow with the Living Proud organisation.

It was difficult to wave and engage with the crowd, being quite embarrassed and losing a game of what are the odds, I had to give a plethora of high-fives to strangers.  

I 100% hope I can march again next year and have more time to prepare a loud costume."

At first Devon and I where nervous, but it took no time for the excitement and energy of the marches and crowd to take over… First thing we said after finishing the Parade is, ‘we will be doing this again next year, bigger and better’.”

“It was an absolute honour to be involved in the Pride Parade with the Rise and Living Proud teams. The atmosphere of love and acceptance that filled Northbridge was overwhelming and brought a tear to my eye.

Never one to shy away from a dress up opportunity I was excited to deck myself out in rainbows and sparkles, however some of the beautifully detailed and eye-catching outfits on display showed that we will really need to up our game if we are invited back next year!
